Project 1: Default Order Originator
Faced with Sage purchase order frustrations, a customer in the food supply industry recently approached the team at Eureka Solutions seeking a creative resolution.
When setting up purchase orders, all system users were shown as an option in the order originator field. With only a few key members of staff raising purchase orders, finding the right member of staff from the extensive drop-down menu was a real sticking point, detracting from administrative efficiency. To speed up purchase order raising, the food supply company sought to only show selected Sage 200 users in the drop-down menu, with a default member of staff selected as standard.
By creating a new settings screen to help specify which users should appear in the order originator drop-down field, and who should be the default user, Eureka Solutions were able to fulfil the needs of the food supply company, saving them valuable time and speeding up the purchase order raising process.
Project 2: Stock Take CSVs
Recently, a trade wholesale business approached Eureka Solutions seeking a way to simplify data entry into Sage 200 after completion of stock takes.
The wholesaler had frustrations with the level of manual intervention required in Sage 200 during stock take and asked for a way to import stock levels from excel, to automatically update the relevant fields in Sage 200.
By creating a new screen in Sage 200, users were able to create stock take lists from Sage 200 product data, ready to be filled in during stock take. These CSV files could then be imported to Sage 200 once complete, populating the relevant Sage 200 fields.
As a result of this bespoke piece of development, the trade wholesale company can now streamline the stock-take process, saving valuable time.
Project 3: Sales Order List Customisation
A global manufacturing brand sought the addition of new bespoke sales order fields in Sage 200 to create clarity between billing and shipping address on sales orders.
By adding a new bespoke sales order list to Sage 200, Eureka Solutions were able to add a number of unique fields:
- SOP delivery email address
- SOP delivery address line 1
- SOP delivery address line 2
- SOP delivery address line 3
- SOP delivery telephone number
The creation of these new fields allowed users to distinguish between billing and delivery address more clearly in Sage 200, enhancing clarity of information and reducing margin for shipping errors.
Project 4: Tweaking Bundle Data Integration
A drinks industry brand using Eureka Solutions’ own integration platform Besyncly to sync order data from WooCommerce to Sage 200 recently approached our team to help tailor their integration to account for a high volume of product bundle sales.
Hoping to separate bundled products into individual lines as opposed to a group, the drinks brand sought clarity and visibility of exact products sold.
Developing a bespoke solution to meet the needs of the customer, Eureka Solutions devised a change to Sage 200, to show individual products and pricing within a bundle on transferred orders, rather than syncing the bundle as a unit from WooCommerce.
This change allowed accounting teams to see, at a glance, the exact products sold, their correct pricing and the discount applied to each for sale as part of a bundle.
